A different approach to therapy
At Neuroinclusion, we don’t believe you need to change who you are to belong in the world.
Our approach to occupational therapy is neurodiversity-affirming, autonomy-focused and grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience. Our team understands neurodivergence not only through clinical training, research and practice, but through our own experiences of navigating a world that isn’t always designed for different ways of thinking, sensing, communicating and being.
We work with Autistic, ADHD, PDA and multiply neurodivergent people across the lifespan, recognising that every person’s experience is different. Rather than focusing on deficits or trying to make someone appear more “typical”, we seek to understand what is happening, what matters to you, and what support will make everyday life more accessible and sustainable.
We start with you
Your goals, preferences, communication style, sensory needs and autonomy matter. We take the time to understand your experiences without judgement and work collaboratively to identify meaningful changes that can make life easier. This includes adapting your environment, developing practical strategies, building capacity, accessing assistive technology, understanding your neurodivergence or simply having someone who finally gets it. We don’t expect you to justify your needs before receiving support. Curiosity before judgement. Accommodation without justification. Inclusion without changing who you are.
Professional expertise + lived experience
Neuroinclusion was built on the belief that the strongest practice happens when clinical knowledge and lived experience inform one another. Our clinicians bring professional expertise in occupational therapy alongside an understanding of neurodivergent experiences that cannot be learned from a textbook alone. This means we continually question traditional approaches, listen to neurodivergent voices and consider whether the goals of therapy are genuinely improving a person’s quality of life rather than simply making them easier for others to manage.
What you can expect from us
When you work with Neuroinclusion, you can expect:
-
Respect for your autonomy — you remain the expert in your own life.
-
A strengths-based approach — we look beyond difficulties to understand your interests, strengths and ways of doing things.
-
Sensory safety — we consider the impact of sensory environments and make adjustments wherever possible.
-
No forced masking — we don’t aim to make you look or behave less authentic.
-
Collaborative therapy — we work with you, not on you.
-
Practical support — recommendations are designed to work in real life, not just on paper.
-
Individualised care — there is no one-size-fits-all neurodivergent experience.
-
A commitment to inclusion — sometimes the most meaningful intervention is changing the environment around a person, rather than asking the person to change.
You don’t have to become someone else.
Therapy should help you build a life that works for you and not teach you how to become better at pretending to be someone you’re not.
If you’re looking for occupational therapy that sees the whole person, respects your autonomy and genuinely understands neurodivergence, we’d love to work with you.
